woohooo, I am a auntie again!!!!

My nephew, Liam Blair Askew

was born yesterday at 3:15pm

8#12oz and 20 inches

I got yummy scrappy mail today!

this is one of the prizes I won on "ready set scrap"

can't wait to play with that rockin cosmo cricket!

I stopped by the secondhand store this afternoon

I found the great canasta cards, the pictures on the are awesome, I am going to use them for an upcoming atc swap
I also found this purty vintage lace!

and I finally got my hand on a 45, I still hope to get a few more, but if I can't then I will make do with one

these are all for the first week on the June challenges at scrapperie

this first one is based on a pagemaps 2 page sketch, I love the piece of vintage lace on the page, of course I rubbed stickles into it....

this one is a product challenge (had to use 5 things from a list)

I am not super happy with this one, but I love the pics
this last one is an ad inspiration challenge
I don't do many pages that are just about Frank, so this one was long overdue (love you Bubba)

I just hate it when one of my little get sick

Poor Savannah is miserable today

She has been running a fever since last night, so we are the sick house today.

Hopefully none of the other kids will catch it

It Loves to drive me crazy

and I hate it!

But tonight it was behaving, so I was able to make some yummy peanut butter choco chip cookies for my man

(I subsuited some of the peanut butter for almond butter..... Yum!)

today

I spent all of today at work with my Hubby. I went in to work on the store website that I set up for them shoutlife.com/AbidingVine . I entered in all the new books in the store and uploaded a bunch of movie rentals, as well as wrote a few blogs for them. I also help rearrange the store and merchandise. I like spending the day there with him, but the kids were not quite as impressed with spending all day at the bookstore.....

Ready Set Scrap

This weeks ready set scrap challenge "in this moment"

I love this pic of my youngest, in his blanket sleeper and mud boots... zooming out of the photo. He had just learned to ride and wanted to do it non-stop

so you ever get caught up in the small details?

the arrow below is grunge board. I hand mixed a paint color for it, then stickled the details on the grungeboard. covered it in glassy accents and painted a black border around it......... 3 hrs of painting and waiting for one arrow (crazy...)

go green challenge 4..... fabric

here is my entry for the 4th go green challenge at cutthecrop. this last challenge was to recycle fabric.

I made the flower out of a strip of old burlap that I sewed together in a circle, then added a felt center and painted around the outside.

Does anyone have any old 45s that they would be willing to part with???? I would pay for shipping. I don't care who it is, or the songs, they can be scratched (but not warped)........... Help please

So this was supposed to be my entry for round 3.... I had to do another one

but I still really like this one!

I really wanted the photos to be the center of attention, so there is very little embellishment

and I had lots of fun stamping/painting the title

green thumb

Well I am not really sure yet if I have a green thumb, we will see soon....

got up early this morning and helped Morning get her garden planted. We got started on mine, but only got a row of sunflowers and a row of pole beans planted before it got to hot. Hopefully we can get back out there later when it cools down.

It always makes me happy to get out my paints while scrapping

farm life

This week we got some real farm experince!

took care of our neighbors animals

which means we got to learn how to milk the goat

and then bottle feed the lambs, kid, and calfs

this is Opal, our poor milking vitim..... Morning milks her in about 3mins, it took us 45mins

Morning showed Frank how to milk the night before, so he goes first

Poor Opal was getting really tired of us

so I did the bulk of the milking, trying to get done quickly
