Foto Friday

okay, I know its Saturday.... but feedbiz always sends blog subscriptions the day after they are blogged.
so anywho. Foto Friday over at http://sisterhoodofscrap.blogspot.com/

Autumn Afternoon

This Past weekend we took the kids on a day trip to the Oregon Caves. We had such a blast, even got a ranger to give us a mini cave tour with out having to pay for the full one. And, of course, I brought along my camera! Just couldn't pass up the chance to take some beautiful Fall pictures

changing Seasons

I just spent all day washing every piece of clothing my 5 kids own...... that's a lot of loads! We dumped out drawers, folded, sorted, packed away for winter and passed down sizes. I still need to get all of the boxed up winter clothes out of storage, but maybe later this week. I always dread this chore, but it feels so good when its all done, the drawers all neat and the hampers are empty {well for a few minutes anyways} The kids are so funny when its time to pass down clothes. The kid growing out of the item, is sad because they are all their favorites, and the new owner is so overjoyed to get their older siblings greatest treasure. Funny, isn't..... How kids don't make fun of hand me downs. My kids Love it, they also love finding one of a kind treasures at second hand shops

today and yesterday were super busy days!!!
Yesterday I got up in the morning and made some super yummy Amish friendship bread. I had Bible study all afternoon, and just other random busy-ness....
Today, I drove to medford (about 90mins away) to go to Costco. Just came home and made picnic bread for dinner. I am really loving baking from scratch!!!!!
But alas.... no scrappy time :(
Maybe tomorrow
but I did get to rock my awesome new glasses all day...

a Zebra striped scarf kinda day

Its finally pretty outside today, its in the 70s
today I have been working on my entry for round 5 of the gauntlet, the mini book. Now, next to the evil card, the mini book is my biggest enemy!
I always try to make it fit in the "rules" of scrapping..... But I have finally let go, and just started creating. I also found a medium that I really enjoy working with
I can't post any picks of it until next week
so I am posting these pics, I have been doing a week in Pictures at scrapperie
the above pic is today. I just felt like wearing the zebra striped scarf that my sister bought me. It is really hard to take a pic of the top/back of your own head!

Gardens and weeds

Photobucket

I spent this morning in my Garden, pulling out all the weeds. I really love doing that, it a quite "me time"
today is still very gloomy and overcast outside, kinda depressing! I hope the weather turns better soon

so that leads me to todays blog Prompt from Scrapperie.... whats your perfect summer day/activity

Lets see, in the low 80s with a cooling breeze, spending the day sitting on the beach watching the surf hit the shore and the kids build sand castles. Just relaxing!
