Wooohoooo, I got my whole list done!!!!!!
I have two big ol' blisters and a bruised heal (flip flops aren't good gardening shoes)

I even set the stakes into the garden all by myself with a fence post pounder.
now there is just one more thing to add to my "to do list".....

hopefully I can get some done tonight, if I can get my fingers to work
this is the yummy picnic bread that I made for dinner last night.... not a crumb left

One thing I must accomplish today is...

One thing I must accomplish today is...
(today's blog prompt from scrapperie)
  • weed at least half my garden
  • get stakes and twine put in for the sweet peas, snap-peas and pole beans
  • help hubby fix the chicken coop
  • make something yummy for dinner
  • research websites for Rhonda
  • find a new home for scissors (note to self, do not keep scissors accessible to bathroom, you might do something stupid like cut your bangs when you are frustrated with them....)

thanks so much

My mini book was chosen as the LayOut (or minibook) of the day over at Scrapperie
how cool is that!?!?!? I so glad that Rebecca suggested that I check out the scrapperie MB, I have really enjoyed myself there, the challenges and inspiriations rock (even getting me to be more consistent with my blog) and the people over there are AWESOME!!!!!

Blog prompt for today at Scrapperie "If I could take tomorrow off of work, I'd..."

well since my one and only job is being a mommy, this would require a really awesome babysitter... but here goes! I would go get a hair cut and color, a facial and maybe my eyebrows done. Then I would go shopping for a new outfit (including new purse and shoes) and maybe pop over to a awesome LSS for a little shopping spree. Finishing off with dinner and drinks at a good Mexican place with the girls (Rebecca you think you could make it???)

I conqured the minibook!

wooohoooo!!!! I finished my mini book!
I am so excited to have my mini done for round 5 of the gauntlet.
but this round is a two week challenge so I can't post it for another week
I was the second one finish, I really thought it would take me longer than that
so the little ones passed out on the couch today, I think from the heat.
this is how I felt after finishing that book......

Here is a picture of the random office products that I cut-up to make my book

a Zebra striped scarf kinda day

Its finally pretty outside today, its in the 70s
today I have been working on my entry for round 5 of the gauntlet, the mini book. Now, next to the evil card, the mini book is my biggest enemy!
I always try to make it fit in the "rules" of scrapping..... But I have finally let go, and just started creating. I also found a medium that I really enjoy working with
I can't post any picks of it until next week
so I am posting these pics, I have been doing a week in Pictures at scrapperie
the above pic is today. I just felt like wearing the zebra striped scarf that my sister bought me. It is really hard to take a pic of the top/back of your own head!

Ki pop culture!
Journaling: you have a great bond with all 5 of our kids
but your bond with our boys is special

Gardens and weeds

Photobucket

I spent this morning in my Garden, pulling out all the weeds. I really love doing that, it a quite "me time"
today is still very gloomy and overcast outside, kinda depressing! I hope the weather turns better soon

so that leads me to todays blog Prompt from Scrapperie.... whats your perfect summer day/activity

Lets see, in the low 80s with a cooling breeze, spending the day sitting on the beach watching the surf hit the shore and the kids build sand castles. Just relaxing!
